Join those who have already booked for AHA’s upcoming walks.

Email Nancy to book your place, or go here to book on-line and find out more.  Limited to 12 participants — all places must be booked in advance.  Further information and details will be sent to registered participants the week prior to the walk.

Quiet Walk, #002 with Tony Whitehead — 24 March, 0530 to 0900, Newbridge, Dartmoor.  Dress up warm (tho’ we are hopeful that the sub-zero temps and high winds which caused postponement of Silent Walk #001 won’t be repeated) for this dawn walk from Newbridge up the River Dart along its wooded banks.  The Dawn Chorus will be accompanied by the sounds of the river (sliding, trickling, gurgling, thundering…), the woodland and the many different species which dwell in this aurally rich habitat.

A Home Made Walk with Amanda Pellatt — 28 April, 1000 to 1400, Ivybridge, Dartmoor.  Come along for this walk up through the valley woodland bordering the River Erme.  The return will be across the open moor.  Visit J M W Turner’s “Ivy Bridge”, a swimming pool made by American soldiers, unearth tin mining, duck under bridges by I K Brunel and lunch in a Bronze Age homestead on this 5 mile walk.
