Celebrate August’s 1st Full Moon

Material Woman Walks Dartmoor


One of the artists commissioned to make work as part of the EVA project will be walking on Dartmoor each day during the Blue Moon month of August this year.  Blue moons occur when two appear in a single month.  Material Woman will be based on the South Moor near Shipley Bridge and is going to be inviting walkers to join her from time to time during the month.

An Orchestrated Walk


Previous musicial experience is not required!

Join musician/composers Hugh Nankivell, Dean Broderick and Richard Evans for a day open to everyone who has an interest in sound, music and walking on Dartmoor.  If you already play an instrument that’s fine bring it along –– if you don’t that is completely okay!   This is a day for everyone who wants to explore creating music inspired by Dartmoor.

Wonderful Walk at Wingstone on Sunday 1st April

Thank you to Juliette Rich for opening her home and farm to a group of AHA walkers last Sunday.  What a fabulous afternoon — from an overview about the farm with pre-walk tea in the kitchen, to a tour of the many and varied fields and habitats, to a final chat over a choice between homemade cream-tea or homemade orange drizzle cake!
