Karen Wallis EVA Artist

Karen Wallis, one of the four artists commissioned to create new work for the EVA project, has now added a link on her website for the work she is making.  At present you can download a short video she has made; as she completes further work she will be adding it to the site.

Karen is in residence at Fairfield House, working closely with members of the Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizen’s Association (BEMSCA).

Follow the Storytrail across Devon

There are three family-friendly Storytrails which can be followed across Devon until late September.

Haytor (link to map)

Haldon Forest Park (link to map)

The task is to download the map for each location and follow the trail to find the Storyboxes.  Having found a Storybox, open it, find the Storybook and add the next sentence or two to the story in progress.  At the end of September all the boxes will be collected and the collaborative stories published …

Interview with Material Woman

Michael Heather, member of the EVA Radio team, interviewed Material Woman in the car park at Shipley Bridge this morning (Monday, 14 August).  Michael recorded 47+ minutes of in-depth discussion with Material Woman on topics ranging from her current ‘Sounds Good’ commission for AHA on Dartmoor, to previous works she has made under the name of Material Woman.  The edited recording will be included in EVA Radio broadcasts in the autumn.
